About the course

This class is based on a creative, “hands-on” way to use skills from science, technology, engineering, math, and even art to create new inventions for the future and how things work. Through fostering creativity and working together cooperatively in teams and individually, the students will be given a task to accomplish where they will collaborate ideas within their group to budget for their supplies, explore, design, build, test, and present their creations. This class involves an introductory to sciences, engineering, and career exploration in the areas of physics, chemistry, electrical and biomedical engineering, marine and general biology through introduction to 3-D printing, coding, prosthetics, technology and much more. (Projects vary each semester). Formal presentation of their creation or project is required on the last day of class.
