Get ready to create, explore, and express!

Beginner sewing. We will work on various projects during the semester such as a pillowcase and bag. Students will learn/practice basic sewing on a machine, sewing on buttons, and some hand sewing. No previous experience needed.

This class is typically a 9th or 10th grade high school class with heavy amounts of vocabulary. The students will gain an appreciation of the world around them as they discover the design of the simplest living things. This biology course covers the science and chemistry of life, ecology, cell structure and function, cellular energy, DNA, genetics, evolution, prokaryotes and viruses, protists and fungi, plant diversity and reproduction, plant structure and function, and the biology of various types of animals. We will be dissecting 4 specimens during the second semester of this class. Dissections include Earthworm, Crayfish, Perch, and Frog

"This course, combined with Biology I, is equivalent to one full year of college Biology and will familiarize students with solid College Level content. Prerequisites to this academically rigorous course are: Biology I.
The first module provides an organizational overview of the human body and homeostasis, as well as a general review of concepts such as: cell structure, protein synthesis, and cellular mitosis. Subsequent modules study: histology (study of tissues), integumentary and skeletal systems, skeletal system histology and movement, muscular system histology and physiology, nervous system, central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, digestive system, respiratory system, urinary and reproductive systems.

Rather than providing a broad overview of British literature, this class will dive deeply into a limited number of great works, which students will read in their entirety.

In this creative Canva class, students will go beyond the basics of design by learning how to animate text, graphics, and layouts using Canva’s animation tools. Each week, students will complete a different hands-on project—such as animated posters, motion graphics, simple character movements, and short video clips—to explore a variety of animation styles and techniques. This class is perfect for beginners who want to build confidence through multiple small projects while discovering how motion can bring their designs to life.

Kids will learn their alphabet through snacks and foods.

This semester we will read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Students will need to begin reading before the semester begins. Syllabus will be posted after registration with the weekly reading schedule. We will discuss the chapters read each week in class and work on related comprehension questions. We will also create related crafts or play games each week.

Curriculum by Ramsey Solutions known for Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. Students will learn the money skills they’ll use now and for the rest of their lives so they’ll have a solid foundation when they’re out on their own. This course trades boring formulas and financial theories for time-tested principles, real-life applications and humor (yes, personal finance can be fun!). Topics include how to budget, save, avoid debt, invest, be a wise consumer and much more! Foundations includes engaging videos with finance experts who teach each lesson, reading material with standards-driven content, and educational information designed to meet various learning needs. Course includes workbook with 1 year access to teaching videos and student activities. Please notate that a hard registration closes off at end of registration. This is to ensure all registering students have the appropriate materials and to ensure proper licensing of trademark material. Thank you for your understanding.

A fun cooking class especially geared for elementary to preteen students, with easy recipes that we will do in class, and can even do easily at home.

Experience the thrill of discovery! STEAM is your ticket to hands-on exploration where you'll build, tinker, and experiment to unravel the mysteries of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

We will work on skills such as shapes, numbers, patterns, counting, adding and subtracting as students need them. We use manipulatives, games and worksheets. Some work is done individually and some is whole group.

We will enjoy playing a variety of games, some requiring logic and quick action, some imagination, and some just for fun! There will be emphasis on good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Music and Art Fun Time is a joyful enrichment class designed to spark creativity and imagination while encouraging curiosity and self-expression through introducing foundational concepts in both art and music. Students will sing, move, make rhythms, paint, draw, and build as they explore sound, color, texture, and storytelling through the arts.

Young children will be supervised in a room where they can play or nap.

We will be learning how to make fancy designs with paper. I will have all the paper and any other supplies the student will need.

This class will be designed either support your current reading program with enrichment and instruction or I will be using the Abeka phonics approach to teach reading and phonics. The Abeka program walks students through learning consenant sounds, short and long vowel sounds, teaching blends, three letter words, and then four letter words. Students will next learn phonics special sound charts and learn how to analyze words and sound them out. Students begin sounding out words and reading so quickly. We will work at your child's pace.

In this high school physics course, we will learn about God's world through exploring mechanics, electricity, and magnetism. Class will consist of labs, demonstrations, quizzes, lectures, and working problems.

Christ-centered curriculum designed to teach high school students about mental health and applying it to everyday life.

Join the STEAM Squad, where curiosity leads the way! In this hands-on class, students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through creative, engaging activities each week. From mini-experiments and simple builds to art-infused engineering challenges and problem-solving games, students will learn how STEAM works together in the real world. This class will spark imagination, build confidence, and encourage teamwork—perfect for young makers who love to explore, create, and discover.

We will study God’s wonderful creation: the human body: from head to toe. We will also look into how we can care for our bodies.

We will start with a few basics for any students new to sewing, but will quickly move to working on learning through different sewing projects including piecing a quilt square and making something following a pattern.

Students will learn conversational Spanish basics- vocabulary and conversation.

Students will grow more fluent in conversational Spanish, and translation.

Hands on spelling class, students will learn weekly spelling patterns through games, movement, and creative activities. Guided lessons while keeping learning fun with stations, challenges, and team-based word practice.

This class provides older students with an hour to work on their schoolwork. Students are expected to work individually and quietly so everyone can focus. Students should come prepared with assignments to work on - reading a novel, working on lab reports, doing math homework, etc.

Kids learn real superhero traits like kindness, courage, honesty, and responsibility through fun activities and role-play. As they complete missions and teamwork challenges, they build confidence and character.

It is Texas History. It will be fun. Some homework required for special projects.

Step into the spotlight! In this fun and engaging beginner theater class, students will explore the exciting world of drama through games, hands-on projects, and group activities.

An engaging class where toddlers learn, explore, and grow through stories, songs, sensory activities, and imaginative play.

Child led play including gross motor and fine motor skills.

A lively toddler arts and crafts class filled with painting, gluing, coloring, and creating! Little ones build fine-motor skills while making adorable take-home projects.

Each week we will be learning about a different wild animal.

We will explore our country and our world as we follow Flat Stanley on his adventures! In class we will read aloud the original book by Jeff Brown and begin the Worldwide Adventures series. We will enrich our class with activities that teach us more about the locations in the books.

Each student will be encouraged to create their own Flat Stanley and send it to friends and relatives willing to take him/her on an adventure. We will follow all our Stanleys as they travel the world!

There is no weekly homework, but parents will be asked to approve (or help improve) the Stanley created in class the first week. While the teacher will provide postage, envelopes, and sample letters, parents will be responsible for sending Stanley to friends/relatives.

In this course, students will gain skills in the following areas: page design, publishing techniques, copywriting, editing, photography, graphic design, teamwork, and leadership skills. Students are responsible for producing their own yearbook pages which involves designing their own pages, taking the photographs for their pages, and writing all copy on their pages.
This class requires a full year commitment and is considered a pass/fail class for high school students. As long as your child participates and comes with a teachable spirit they should have no trouble passing. The class fee includes one free yearbook for each student who participates in both semesters of the school year.
